Jacksonville Clinic Parking Garage

In the 1980s, a prominent family in Jacksonville, Fla., lobbied the community and donated land for a prominent healthcare provider to open a new outpatient center in their beloved city. The family wanted to ensure that residents of the community and surrounding locations could access top-level care. The family’s dream became a reality and since opening in 1986, this major medical facility has grown significantly. In 2018, planning began on a new parking structure, which needed to be welcoming and contribute to the positive experience of patients. The owner wanted to make a visual impact, which also met the requirements of open-air circulation, appearance, and could withstand the corrosive coastal conditions. Using GKD’s product, Omega 1520, the unique installation used 904L cabling in conjunction with T316L stainless rods, providing superior resistance to oxidation.
